On January 16, 2026, while northern China was already experiencing the cold winter, the auditorium of the Zhengzhou Convention and Exhibition Center was filled with passion. The Rayme Outdoor 2026 New Product Launch was held here. Officials from the Henan Outdoor Camping Association and the Henan Foreign Trade Promotion Association, representatives of the Rayme Outdoor Lifestyle Club, general managers from Rayme Outdoor’s Tianjin, Hebei, and Zhejiang factories, and colleagues from the R&D department all attended to witness the launch of Rayme Outdoor’s new products.
Rooftop inflatable tents are not a new product in the global market or even the Chinese market. The first rooftop inflatable tent customized for an overseas client was born in China in 2008, making it 17 years old. However, for a factory that has always focused on outdoor camping inflatable tents, inflatable mattresses, inflatable sofas, pole camping tents, outdoor camping furniture, outdoor camping cookware, and outdoor camping sleeping bags, this represents a completely new product system. Furthermore, Rayme Outdoor’s newly released rooftop air tent represents a breakthrough compared to traditional inflatable tents in terms of design concept and the tent fabric used.
Rayme Outdoor has been engaged in the research and development and manufacturing of outdoor camping equipment for 16 years. It has four factories in Hebei, Tianjin, Henan, and Zhejiang, forming six product series: the Coody series luxury inflatable tents, the House series high-end inflatable tents, the Nice series light luxury inflatable tents, the Young series fashionable (creative) inflatable tents, and outdoor camping accessories. Among these, the cabin inflatable tents, ridge tents, shelter tents, spherical tents, and hub station modular tents have received high praise from tent wholesalers, retailers, brand owners, and e-commerce platforms worldwide. However, rooftop tents are a gap in Rayme Outdoor’s product portfolio. We chose to enter the rooftop tent market for three reasons:
In recent years, global outdoor camping has developed rapidly, with demand for hard-shell rooftop tents, inflatable rooftop tents, and multi-functional rooftop tents growing rapidly, with an annual compound growth rate of approximately 15%. In 2025, global sales of rooftop tents reached 1.2 million units, with sales revenue of approximately US$1.9 billion. This figure is expected to reach US$2.5 billion in the next two years.
After more than ten years of development, Rayme Outdoor possesses R&D and manufacturing capabilities in the field of inflatable camping equipment. In 2020, we added the production of inflatable beds and inflatable sofas. In 2022, we added a series of products including 2-4 person pole tents, 6-8 person pole tents, 8-10 person family tents, and 20 person party tents. In 2023, we began producing Mongolian yurt tents and Arabian tents. With years of R&D and production experience, we are capable of producing high-quality rooftop tents.
Rayme Outdoor develops a new product category approximately every two years. While the newly released rooftop inflatable tent is not a new product on the market, it is a new product for us. The release of the rooftop inflatable tent series further enriches our product portfolio and is a concrete action to fulfill our commitment to “providing one-stop procurement services for global outdoor camping equipment buyers.”
A total of six rooftop tents were released this time: XX-1, XX-2, XX-3, XX-4, XX-5, and XX-6.
During the development of the rooftop tents, we fully considered the characteristics of different car models worldwide, striving to make the inflatable tents compatible with a wider range of vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, 4×4 off-road vehicles, and pickup trucks.
Each of the six rooftop tents for cars released this time has different features. In addition to the basic features of one-click inflation and quick setup, we also focus on the user experience. XX-? and XX-? are also amphibious, making outdoor camping more enjoyable for camping enthusiasts and perfect for Roof Top Tents for Camping & Overland Trips.
The six rooftop tents released this time are multifunctional camping tents. They can be used on the roof of a vehicle, and we also provide a rooftop tent mattress, allowing for use on the ground and even on water.
The main fabric of the six rooftop tents released this time is made of tear-resistant, high-density, low-gram-weight lightweight fabric, including 210D premium Oxford cloth and 210T premium polyester cloth. The metal components of the tent are made of lightweight aviation aluminum alloy, significantly reducing the weight of the tent.
First, the ease of installation and use is ensured, requiring no complicated actions. The connection and fixation between the base and the roof, and between the main tent and the base, are basically achieved through snap-on installation, making it easy for women and novice outdoor camping enthusiasts to operate. Secondly, we pay close attention to the needs of long-term camping enthusiasts, treating the tent surface with bio-waterproofing technology to achieve a waterproof rating of over 3000mm. With the included raincoat, the waterproof rating can reach 5000mm. The inner side of the tent can be customized with black or silver coating to improve UV protection and thermal insulation.
We are optimistic about the car camping market. We have the resources and foundation to create better and better rooftop tents. We plan to expand further in car camping by 2026. For example, we are currently developing stylish car-side tents, rear tents, car awning tents, hard-shell rooftop tents, and large camping tents that integrate the car and tent. We aim to become a supplier in China for Costco, Walmart, and Bass Pro Shops.
